Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 106364-45-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,0,6,3,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 106364-45:
(8*1)+(7*0)+(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*4)+(1*5)=108
108 % 10 = 8
So 106364-45-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Asymmetric Deoxygenative Cyanation of Benzyl Alcohols Enabled by Synergistic Photoredox and Copper Catalysis?

Chen, Hong-Wei,Lu, Fu-Dong,Cheng, Ying,Jia, Yue,Lu, Liang-Qiu,Xiao, Wen-Jing

, p. 1671 - 1675 (2020)

Summary of main observation and conclusion. An enantioselective deoxygenative cyanation of benzyl alcohols was accomplished for the first time through the synergistic photoredox and copper catalysis. This reaction features the use of organic photosensitizer and low-cost 3d metal catalyst, simple and safe operations, and extremely mild conditions. A variety of chiral benzyl nitriles were produced in generally good yields and high level of enantiocontrols from readily available feedstocks (22 examples, up to 93% yield and 92% ee).

Molecular Orbital and Experimental Studies on the Photoinduced Decarboxylation of Pyrethroid Model Esters

Katagi, Toshiyuki,Mikami, Nobuyoshi,Matsuda, Tadashi,Miyamoto, Junshi

, p. 779 - 782 (2007/10/02)

A series of pyrethroid model esters with various substituents in the acid or alcohol moiety have been irradiated by u. v.-radiation (λ > 220 nm).The main reaction is decarboxylation, as evidenced by gas chromatographic (g. c.) and mass spectrometric (m. s.) analyses. In the photoinduced decarboxylation reaction, the substituent effect on the main transition, which occurs via carbonyl excitation, and on the reactivity of a radical intermediate have been examined by semiempirical molecular-orbital calculations (MNDO and CNDO/S).It has been found tha the change of benzyl carbon-oxygen bond strength in the excited states is one of the important factors in determining the yield of the decarboxylated product.

A NEW CONVENIENT SYNTHESIS OF α-ARYLPROPIONIC ACID ESTERS AND α-ARYLPROPIONITRILES

Amano, Takehiro,Yoshikawa, Kensei,Sano, Tatsuhiko,Ohuchi, Yutaka,Shiono, Manzo,et al.

, p. 499 - 508 (2007/10/02)

Various types of α-arylpropionic acid esters were effectively obtained by the coupling reaction of aryl Grignard reagents and α-bromopropionic acid esters in the presence of nickel catalysts. α-Arylpropionitriles, precursors of α-arylpropionic acids, were also synthesized by the reaction of α-methanesulfonyloxypropionitrile and arylcopper reagents prepared from equimolar amount of arylmagnesium halides and copper(I) bromide.
