N,N-Dibutyl-1,3-propanediamine, also known as dipropylenetriamine, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C11H26N2. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a strong amine odor and is soluble in water and organic solvents. It is commonly used as a curing agent in the production of epoxy resins, as well as a stabilizer and lubricant additive in the manufacturing of petroleum products. Additionally, it is utilized as an intermediate in the synthesis of agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and rubber chemicals. However, N,N-Dibutyl-1,3-propanediamine is a corrosive and flammable substance that may cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract, and should be handled with proper safety precautions.
