Preparation of 1,2,3-triazolylidene metal complexes by simple alkylation of triazolyl based parent species was demonstrated for the first time. Based on this post-modification approach, unprecedented tridentate Pd and Pt complexes bearing a 1,2,3-triazolylidene core were synthesized. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011.
