Synthesis of Dinucleoside Phosphates Containing Sulfur Substituted Nucleobases: 4-Thiouracil, 4-Thiothymine and 6-Mercaptopurine
Clivio, Pascale,Fourrey, Jean-Louis,Gasche, Jeanette,Favre, Alain
, p. 69 - 72 (2007/10/02)
S-Pivaloyloxymethylation of sulfur substituted nucleobases enables the synthesis in solution of dinucleoside phosphates containing sulfur modified residues such as 4-thiouracil, 4-thiothymine and 6-mercatopurine. Key words: 4-thiouracil; protection; phosphorylation; nucleosides.
The synthesis of oligodeoxynucleotides containing 4-thiothymidine residues
Nikiforov,Connolly
, p. 3851 - 3854 (2007/10/02)
Oligodeoxynucleotides containing 4-thiothymidine residues were obtained using the phosphoramidites of 2 and 3. Treatment with CH3COSK in EtOH was used to introduce the 4-thioketo function at the oligodeoxynucleotide level.
5′-O-(4-4′-dimethylthoxytrityl)-4-thiocyanatothymidine A useful intermediate for the preparation of various 4-substituted thymidine analogues
Nikiforov, Theo T.,Connolly, Bernard A.
, p. 2505 - 2508 (2007/10/02)
The thiocyanato group in 5′-O-(4,-4′-dimethoxytrityl)-4-thiocyanatothymidine 2 is easily displaced by a variety if O-, N=- and S-nucleophiles, making this compound a useful intermediate for the preparation of 4-substituted thymidine analogues.
