The present work describes the application of nano CoCuFe2O4 toward the coupling reaction of acyl chlorides with terminal alkynes. By this catalytic system, ynone derivatives were formed in high yields via a palladium-free strategy.
Metal-free tandem reactions of 2-iodoaryl ynones with sodium azide for the synthesis of benzoisoxazole containing 1,2,3-triazoles
Majeed, Kashif,Zhou, Fengtao,Zhang, Qiuyu
, p. 3707 - 3716 (2021/05/05)
A metal-free approach has been developed for the synthesis of benzo[c]isoxazole (anthranils) containing 1,2,3-triazoles. The reaction proceeded efficiently through a [3 + 2] azide-alkyne cycloaddition, SNAr azidation and denitrogenative cyclization sequence. The metal-free protocol enabled effective construction of one N-O and three C-N bonds in one pot. In addition, the synthetic utility of the current methodology was further demonstrated by late stage modification of the obtained products.

, (2021/01/18)
In this study, the carbonylative sonogashira coupling reaction was performed in the presence of CO (2 MPa) and Nitmtaa?DFNS as NPs. Nickel(II)dibenzotetramethyltetraaza[14]annulene complex (Nitmtaa) prepared and immobilized on amino-fucntionnalized DFNS (N-DFNS) via Ni[sbnd]N (NH2) bond to obtain a stable and reusable new nanocatalyst named as Nitmtaa?DFNS. Good to superb performance products were provided deploying Nitmtaa?DFNS nanocatalyst. In addition, the anatomy of Nitmtaa?DFNS has been distinguished by various methods, including XRD, VSM, FT-IR, SEM, EDX, TEM, and TGA. In addition, the hot filtration test provided complete insight into the heterogeneity of the catalyst. The reuse and recycling of the catalyst were repeatedly investigated for coupling reactions. In addition, the mechanism of the coupling reactions was thoroughly studied.
Selective Insertion of Alkynes into C-C σ Bonds of Indolin-2-ones: Transition-Metal-Free Ring Expansion Reactions to Seven-Membered-Ring Benzolactams or Chromone Derivatives

, p. 155 - 159 (2020/01/03)
An unprecedented ring expansion reaction of indolin-2-ones with alkynyl ketones under transition-metal-free conditions has been developed. Base-promoted selective cleavage of a C-C σ bond of the amide is the key in this process, which provides a straightf
Synthesis of 3-[(4-Nitrophenyl)thio]-Substituted 4-Methylene-1-pyrrolines from N-Propargylic β-Enaminones

, p. 4937 - 4950 (2020/05/01)
A facile and efficient method for the synthesis of 3-[(4-nitrophenyl)thio]-substituted 4-methylene-1-pyrrolines is described. When treated with 4-nitrobenzenesulfenyl chloride in refluxing acetonitrile, N-propargylic β-enaminones produced α-sulfenylated N
Ring Closing Metathesis Approach for the Synthesis of o-Terphenyl Derivatives
Karmakar, Shilpi,Mandal, Tirtha,Dash, Jyotirmayee
, p. 5916 - 5924 (2019/08/21)
A linear synthesis of o-terphenyl derivatives has been delineated using ring closing metathesis (RCM) as the key step. In this approach, benzil derivatives upon allyl Grignard addition provides diphenyl-1,2-diallyl dihydroxy derivatives which undergo ring closing metathesis to afford tetrahydro terphenyl derivatives. Aromatization-driven dehydration then leads to a diverse set of electron rich and electron deficient o-terphenyls. Furthermore, oxidative coupling of electron rich o-terphenyls provides the corresponding triphenylene derivatives.

supporting information, p. 3183 - 3189 (2019/05/28)
In this study, we developed a convenient and efficient two-step method for the synthesis of ynones in a flow reactor, through the generation of lithium acetylide and its subsequent reactions with acid chlorides. Using this approach, we obtained the ynones in moderate to good yields at room temperature. Moreover, we transformed the ynones into pyrazole derivatives through coupling with hydrazines. This transition metal-free process, mild reaction conditions, and broad functional group tolerance are all attractive features in comparison with conventional bench-top methods.

Kawai, Kentaro,Bunno, Youka,Yoshino, Tatsuhiko,Matsunaga, Shigeki
supporting information, p. 10231 - 10237 (2018/07/29)
The (η5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)cobalt(III) (Cp*CoIII)-catalyzed C?H bond functionalization of aromatic, heteroaromatic, and α,β-unsaturated Weinreb amides was explored. C?H allylation reactions with the use of allyl carbonate and a perfluoroalkene, oxidative alkenylation reactions with the use of ethyl acrylate, iodination reactions with the use of N-iodosuccinimide, and amidation reactions with the use of dioxazolones were catalyzed by Cp*Co(CO)I2 in the presence of a cationic Ag salt and AgOAc to afford various synthetically useful building blocks. Mechanistic studies of the C?H allylation disclosed that the C?H activation step was rate determining and virtually irreversible.

, p. 337 - 345 (2017/11/27)
A convenient and efficient method for the synthesis of α,β-alkynyl ketones from the three-component coupling of aryl iodides, terminal alkynes, and carbon monoxide (carbonylative Sonogashira coupling reaction) is successfully developed. The carbonylative Sonogashira coupling reaction proceeded smoothly under mild conditions in the presence of palladium nanoparticles to produce the corresponding α,β-alkynyl ketones in good to excellent yields.
