Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 127792-84-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,2,7,7,9 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 127792-84:
(8*1)+(7*2)+(6*7)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*2)+(2*8)+(1*4)=161
161 % 10 = 1
So 127792-84-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Page/Page column 5, (2011/10/12)
The present invention relates to simple, safe, high-yield methods of synthesizing VNP40101M, 1,2-bis(methylsulfonyl)-2-(2-chloroethyl)-2-(methylaminocarbonyl)hydrazine, an anti-neoplasia agent. One particularly preferred method uses methyl chloroformamide in a one-pot reaction at elevated temperatures to provide VNP40101M in high yield.
