, p. 323 - 326 (2000)
(matrix presented) The solid-phase synthesis of N-alkyl-N-(β-keto)amides and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles was demonstrated using a traceless cleavage strategy based on benzylic acylammonium chloride reactivity. The approach enables the assembly of diverse compounds in a minimal number of steps in moderate to excellent yield (23-88%) and high purity (64-100%).

, p. 253 - 255 (2007/10/02)
1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-2-methyl-4-phenylisoquinolines 6 are obtained from aromatic aldehydes 1, methyl amine and α-haloacetophenones 2 in the presence of sodium borohydride followed by cyclization with sulfuric acid and zinc in methanol.
