Some new complexes of composition (where R = -H, -CH3, -CH2C6H5, -CH(CH3)2, -CH2CH2SCH3 and -CHR- = -CH2CH2-, n = 1 to 4) have been synthesized by the reaction of Zr(OPri)4 * PriOH with the corresponding ligands in different stoichiometric ratios in refluxing benzene medium.The structures of these complexes have been assigned on the basis of physicochemical and spectral (IR, 1H and 13C NMR) studies.
