Uses
7-Methoxy-1H-indazole-3-carboxylic Acid is an intermediate in the synthesis of 7-Hydroxy Granisetron (H942675), a metabolite of Granisetron (G780000), a specific serotonin (5HT3) receptor antagonist. Used as an antiemetic. Granisetron HCl is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist used as an antiemetic to treat nausea and vomiting following chemotherapy. Its main effect is to reduce the activity of the vagus nerve. It does not have much effect on vomiting due to motion sickness. This drug does not have any effect on dopamine receptors or muscarinic receptor.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 133841-08-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,3,8,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 133841-08:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*8)=114
114 % 10 = 4
So 133841-08-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 1151 - 1155 (2012/03/26)
The synthesis, photophysical and biological characterization of a small library of fluorescent 5-HT3 receptor ligands is described. Several of these novel granisetron conjugates have high quantum yields and show high affinity for the human 5-HT3AR.
