On a (pyr)role: A mild and highly efficient catalytic system has been developed for the asymmetric Friedel-Crafts alkylation of pyrroles with nitroalkenes (see scheme). High yields, and excellent enantioselectivities and regioselectivities were obtained for a broad range of substrates.
