Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 13520-77-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,5,2 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13520-77:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*2)+(3*0)+(2*7)+(1*7)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 13520-77-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The prominent i.r. bands of the title compounds isolated as monomers in low-temperature matrices have been obtained. Some anomalies in the literature regarding the fundamentals of WOCl4 have been resolved, and in particular, it is shown via high-resolution

Combinatorial screening of an in situ generated library of tungsten oxyhalide and imido complexes for olefin metathesis

Romer, Duane R.,Sussman, Victor J.,Burdett, Ken,Chen, Yu,Miller, Kami J.

supporting information, p. 551 - 557 (2015/01/08)

A series of substituted tungsten(VI) halides with general formula WECl4 (E = O or 'NR (imido)) were screened via a high throughput study to identify potential new olefin metathesis catalysts. The tungsten species were treated with a series of aluminum alkyl activators and modifier ligands to generate active catalyst species in situ. Ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of cyclooctene was used as a primary screen to identify potential metathesis catalysts and active catalysts were subjected to a secondary screen to evaluate tolerance toward polar functional groups. Several combinations from the high throughput campaign yielded active metathesis catalysts for the ROMP of cyclooctene. However, none of the catalysts examined in this study exhibited any evidence of significant polar functional group tolerance as determined by the results of the secondary cyclooctene/butyl acetate screen.

Low-temperature preparation of tungsten halide clusters: Crystal structure of the adduct W5Br12 · SbBr31

Stroebele,Meyer

, p. 178 - 182 (2012/08/14)

Single-crystals of a new compound W5Br12 · SbBr3 (I) were isolated as a reaction product from the reduction of WBr6 with elemental antimony at 250°C. The crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The structure contains square-pyramidal tungsten clusters being linked into infinite [(W 5Br8i)Br3aBr 2/2a-a] chains through shared W-Bra- a-W contacts of adjacent clusters. The structure of the adduct I can be viewed as an intercalation compound composed of double-layers of cluster chains alternating with mono-layers of SbBr3 molecules. Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2012.
