General Description

(7-Methoxy-5-Methylbenzo[b]thiophen-2-yl)boronic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C9H9BO3S. It is a boronic acid derivative with a benzothiophene ring and a methoxy and methyl group attached to it. (7-Methoxy-5-Methylbenzo[b]thiophen-2-yl)boronic acid is often used in organic synthesis as a building block for various pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Boronic acids are known for their ability to form stable complexes with diols and are used in Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions to create carbon-carbon bonds. The (7-Methoxy-5-Methylbenzo[b]thiophen-2-yl)boronic acid can also be used as a reagent in the preparation of other organic compounds and materials in chemical research and development.
