Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 15605-36-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,5,6,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 15605-36:
(7*1)+(6*5)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*6)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 15605-36-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Revaluation of equilibrium quotient between titanium ions and metallic titanium in NaCl-KCl equimolar molten salt

Sekimoto, Hidehiro,Nose, Yoshitaro,Uda, Tetsuya,Uehara, Akihiro,Yamana, Hajimu,Sugimura, Hiroyuki

, p. 5477 - 5482 (2011)

In this study, the effect of oxide ion on the equilibrium between titanium ions and metallic titanium was investigated in NaCl-KCl equimolar molten salt. The soluble species containing Ti3+ and O2- was not confirmed in the molten salt by absorption spectroscopy. The result of XRD for the solidified sample containing Ti3+ and O2- implies that O2- reacts with Ti3+ and Cl- to form TiOCl(s). The concentration quotient of the equilibrium between titanium ions (Ti 2+, Ti3+) and metallic Ti, Kc, was revaluated at 740 °C as follows:3Ti2+2Ti3++Ti, Kc=8.0×10-2molL-1=1.2×10 -1molkg-1. In addition, the solubility product of TiOCl(s) in NaCl-KCl equimolar molten salt, Ksp, at 700 °C was determined using the results of absorption spectra,Ksp=1.2×10 -2mol2L-2=5.1×10-3mol 2kg-2.
