Wladislaw,Marzorati,Di Vitta,Claro Jr.
, p. 3485 - 3490 (2007/10/03)
The reaction of some α-phenylsulfonyl carboxylic acids with NaH in DMSO and dimethyl disulfide leading to α-methylsulfanyl alkyl phenyl sulfones is described.
Studies towards the synthesis of forskolin from carbohydrates. Preparation of 2,3-disubstituted glycals

, p. 665 - 673 (2007/10/02)
Chiral cyclobutanones, 5, prepared by cycloaddition of dichloroketene and glycals, undergo ring-expansion to give cyclopentene-annulated tetrahydropyran 19.This compound was found to be a useful intermediate for the preparation of various 2,3-disubstitute
SYNTHESIS OF α-METHYLTHIO-SULFONES BY THE SULFENYLATIVE DECARBOXYLATION OF α-PHENYLSULFONYL-CARBOXYLIC ACIDS
Wladislaw, Blanka,Marzorati, Liliana,Vitta, Claudio Di
, p. 403 - 404 (2007/10/02)
Some α-methylthio-sulfones are synthesized by reaction of α-phenylsulfonyl carboxylic acids with dimethyl disulfide or methane methylthiosulfonate, in the presence of NaH/DMSO, at room temperature.Evidences are provided for the mechanism of these reactions.
