Usage

General Description

(+)-Calarene is a naturally occurring sesquiterpene hydrocarbon that is found in various plant species, most notably in the essential oils of Calocedrus formosana, a type of cypress tree native to Taiwan. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a woody, earthy, and slightly camphoraceous odor. In terms of its chemical structure, (+)-calarene is a sesquiterpene, meaning it is made up of three isoprene units and contains 15 carbon atoms.
