PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tris (triorganosiloxy) group-containing organic compound having a pH value in a range of 6.0 to 8.0, in which the pH value does not change significantly even after storage for a long time of period, and to provide uses thereof. SOLUTION: A tris (triorganosiloxy) group-containing organic compound having a pH value in a range of 6.0 to 8.0 just after production and having a change in pH value of 0.2 to - 0.2 after 180 days at 40°C can be obtained by reacting an organic compound having three alcoholic hydroxy groups in a molecule and a disilazane compound with an acidic catalyst which is a solid catalyst such as activated clay, and then subjecting the reaction mixture to distillation purification, and the organic compound can be used as an additive such as a silicone-modified sealant composition.
