The invention belongs to the technical field of chemical synthesis and provides a method for preparing a pentazocine intermediate. The method comprises the following steps of: under the catalysis of raney nickel, mixing an alcoholic solution of ammonia gas with the mass content of 5-30% with a reaction raw material containing a compound XV (3-methyl-3-pentenenitrile); carrying out a reduction reaction by taking hydrogen as a reducing agent; and reducing the reaction raw material containing the compound XV into a reaction product containing a compound XVI II (3-methyl-3-pentenenamine). According to the method disclosed by the invention, the alcoholic solution of ammonia gas with a certain concentration is added in the hydrogen reduction process, so that the reaction pressure and the reaction temperature are greatly reduced, and meanwhile, the reaction time is greatly shortened. Under the combined condition, the feeding amount of the catalyst raney nickel is relatively small, and industrial production is facilitated.
