Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 20904-31-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,0,9,0 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 20904-31:
(7*2)+(6*0)+(5*9)+(4*0)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*1)=78
78 % 10 = 8
So 20904-31-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

CONFORMATION OF DIARYL SULPHIDES WITH INTRAMOLECULAR SULPHUR(II)-OXYGEN INTERACTION: AN X-RAY STUDY OF METHYL 2-(4-NITROPHENYLTHIO)BENZOATE AND 2-DIAZOACETYL-4'-NITRODIPHENYL SULPHIDE

The molecular structures of methyl 2-(4-nitrophenylthio)benzoate and 2-diazoacetyl-4'-nitrodiphenyl sulphide have been determined by X-ray diffraction. The skew conformation observed for the ester is favourable to the formation of a sulphur(II)-oxigen(carb

Coupling of thiols and aromatic halides promoted by diboron derived super electron donors

Franco, Mario,Vargas, Emily L.,Tortosa, Mariola,Cid

supporting information, p. 11653 - 11656 (2021/11/12)

We have proven that pyridine-boryl complexes can be used as superelectron donors to promote the coupling of thiols and aromatic halides through a SRN1 mechanism. The reaction is efficient for a broad substrate scope, tolerating heterocycles including pyridines, enolizable or reducible functional groups. The method has been applied to intermediates in drug synthesis as well as interesting functionalized polythioethers through a controlled and consecutive intramolecular electron transfer process.
