Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 219582-95-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,1,9,5,8 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 219582-95:
(8*2)+(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*5)+(4*8)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*5)=163
163 % 10 = 3
So 219582-95-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

An efficient binuclear catalyst for decomposition of formic acid

Gao, Yuan,Kuncheria, Joshi,Yap, Glenn P. A.,Puddephatt, Richard J.

, p. 2365 - 2366 (1998)

The complex [Ru2(μ-CO)(CO)4(μ-dppm)2] is more active than mononuclear ruthenium complexes as a catalyst for decomposition of formic acid to CO2 and H2; under conditions of highest activity, a coordinatively unsaturated diruthenium dihydride [Ru2H(μ-H)(μ-CO)(CO)2(μdppm)2] is present and can be isolated from solution.

Reactivity of a coordinatively unsaturated diruthenium hydride: Reversible insertion of alkynes

Gao, Yuan,Jennings, Michael C.,Puddephatt, Richard J.

, p. 261 - 265 (2007/10/03)

The chemistry of the coordinatively unsaturated hydridodiruthenium complex cation [Ru2(μ-H)(μ-CO)(CO)3-(μ-dppm) 2]+, 1, is described. Complex 1 adds CO to give [Ru 2(μ-H)(μ-CO)(CO)4(μ-dppm)2] +, reacts with hydrogen to give [Ru2(μ-H) 2(CO)4(μ-dppm)2] and H+ and, in the presence of Et3N, is an efficient catalyst for decomposition of formic acid to CO2 and H2. Complex 1 reacts easily with acetylene to give [Ru2(μ-CH=CH2)(CO) 4(μ-dppm)2]+, with PhCCH to give the coordinatively unsaturated alkenyl complex [Ru2{C(Ph)=CH 2}(μ-CO)2(CO)2(μ-dppm)2] + which then rearranges to the isomeric, coordinatively saturated complex [Ru2(E-μ-CH=CHPh)(CO)4(μ-dppm) 2]+, and reacts reversibly with PhCCPh to give [Ru 2{Z-C(Ph)=CHPh}(μ-CO)2(CO)2(μ-dppm) 2]+. The interconversion of formic acid and hydrogen/carbon dioxide using a binuclear ruthenium complex catalyst

Gao, Yuan,Kuncheria, Joshi K.,Jcnkins, Hilary A.,Puddephatt, Richard J.,Payap, Glenn

, p. 3212 - 3217 (2007/10/03)

The complex [Ru2(u-CO)(CO)4(u-dppm)2] in acetone solution is an efficient catalyst for the reversible reaction between formic acid and hydrogen/carbon dioxide. Complexes identified during the catalytic reactions include the hydrido and formato complexes [Ru2(u-H)(u-CO)(CO)4(u-dppm)2]+, [Ru2(u-HCO2)(CO)4(u-dppm)2]+, [Ru2(n-H)2(CO)4(u-dppm)2], [Ru2H(HCO2)(CO)4(u-dppm)2] and the coordinatively unsaturated [Ru2H(u-H)-(u-CO)(CO)2(u-dppm)2]. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2000.
