Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 22460-59-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,2,4,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 22460-59:
(7*2)+(6*2)+(5*4)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*9)=89
89 % 10 = 9
So 22460-59-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Palladium(0)-catalyzed reaction of isoprene with water was enhanced by the presence of carbon dioxide and a base to give dimethyloctadienols. The same catalyst was found to dehydrate the dimethyloctadienols to afford the corresponding dimethyloctatrienes. The effect of acidity of water on the isoprene-water reaction was also studied.
