Uses
Used in Analytical Chemistry:
COPPER PAN (CU-EDTA + PAN) is used as a reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of copper ions in samples. The formation of a stable complex between EDTA and copper ions, followed by the reaction with PAN to produce a colored compound, enables the accurate measurement of copper concentrations.
Used in Laboratory Research:
In laboratory settings, COPPER PAN (CU-EDTA + PAN) is employed as an analytical tool for copper analysis. Its sensitivity and accuracy make it a preferred choice for researchers and scientists working with copper-containing samples, ensuring reliable and precise results in their studies.
Used in Environmental Analysis:
COPPER PAN (CU-EDTA + PAN) is utilized in environmental studies to determine the presence and concentration of copper ions in water, soil, and air samples. This helps in assessing the environmental impact of copper pollution and monitoring the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
Used in Industrial Quality Control:
In various industries, such as manufacturing, mining, and metallurgy, COPPER PAN (CU-EDTA + PAN) is used for quality control purposes. It helps in ensuring that the copper content in products and materials meets the required specifications and standards, maintaining product quality and safety.
Used in Medical and Diagnostic Applications:
COPPER PAN (CU-EDTA + PAN) is employed in medical and diagnostic applications to analyze copper levels in biological samples, such as blood, urine, and tissues. This aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of copper-related disorders and conditions, as well as in research studies focused on the role of copper in health and disease.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 23299-85-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,3,2,9 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 23299-85:
(7*2)+(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*9)+(3*9)+(2*8)+(1*5)=126
126 % 10 = 6
So 23299-85-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The metal isotope technique is applied to the investigation of the metal-ligand bands in the i.r. spectra of complexes of type: Cu(PAN)X and Cu(PAN)2 where X = Cl, Br and PAN symbolizes 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphtol.For the Cu(PAN)Cl complex, bands 337, 274 and 196 cm-1 were assigned to the Cu-O, Cu-N-py and Cu-N-azo stretching vibrations, respectively. Two Cu-Cl stretching vibrations have been found at 298 and 236 cm-1.The spectrum indicates that in the Cu(PAN)2 complex.PAN acts as a bidentate ligand as only Cu-O and Cu-N-azo bonds are formed.
