Visible-Light-Induced Photocatalytic Synthesis of β-Keto Dithiocarbamates via Difunctionalization of Styrenes
Vishwakarma, Ramesh Kumar,Kumar, Saurabh,Singh, Krishna Nand
, p. 4147 - 4151 (2021/05/26)
A facile photocatalyzed strategy for difunctionalization of styrenes in the presence of CS2 and amines providing β-keto dithiocarbamates has been developed. In the case of 4-nitrostyrene and 2-vinylpyridine, however, only 2-arylethylthiocarbamates are interestingly formed without the aid of photoredox catalysis/TBHP.
Utility of N -Bromosuccinimide-Water Combination as a Green Reagent for Synthesis of N,S-Heterocycles and Dithiocarbamates from Styrenes
Matloubi Moghaddam, Firouz,Goudarzi, Mehri
supporting information, p. 1823 - 1827 (2020/10/02)
An efficient and unprecedented green protocol has been developed for the synthesis of N,S-heterocycles from styrenes and alkyl dithiocarbamates with high to excellent yields. The reaction of primary or secondary amines, CS 2, and styrenes was carried out in water in the presence of a catalytic amount of an inorganic base. All products were made by using an N -bromosuccinimide-H 2O combination as a green and inexpensive reagent.
A new route to dithiocarbamates from tertiary N-methyl and N-benzylamines
Pujol,Guillaumet
, p. 1231 - 1238 (2007/10/02)
The sequential treatment of various tertiary N-methyl and N-benzylamines with carbon disulfide, and then with an alkyl halide in tetrahydrofuran gave the corresponding dithiocarbamates in good to excellent yields.
