The azamacrocyclic ligand 4′-(p-1 ,4,7-triazacyclonon-l-ylmethylphenyl)-2,2′ : 6′,2″-terpyridine (L) has been prepared, and some of the complexes it forms with hydrated copper(n) and nickel(n) have been isolated as the [PF6]- salts.
