TRIMETHYLSILOXYTRICHLOROSILANE is a chemical compound with the formula (CH3)3SiOSiCl3. It is a clear, colorless liquid with a pungent odor and is used as a reagent in a variety of chemical processes, including as a cross-linking agent in the production of silicone polymers. TRIMETHYLSILOXYTRICHLOROSILANE is also used in the manufacturing of protective coatings and as an intermediate in the synthesis of other organosilicon compounds. It is highly reactive with water, producing hydrochloric acid and silanol groups, and should be handled with care in a well-ventilated environment.
