Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 30971-58-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,0,9,7 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 30971-58:
(7*3)+(6*0)+(5*9)+(4*7)+(3*1)+(2*5)+(1*8)=115
115 % 10 = 5
So 30971-58-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

From Nd(III) and Pu(III) Oxalates to Oxides: Influence of Nitrilotris(methylenephosphonic acid) on Chemical Composition, Structure, and Morphology

Vitart, Anne-Lise,Haidon, Blaise,Arab-Chapelet, Benedicte,Rivenet, Murielle,Bisel, Isabelle,Pochon, Patrick,Roussel, Pascal,Grandjean, Stéphane,Abraham, Francis

, p. 4715 - 4725 (2017)

Neodymium oxalate structure and morphology were modified by adding a phosphonate, NTMP, during the oxalic precipitation step. Spherical agglomerates of neodymium oxalate Nd2(C2O4)3(H2O)6·12H2O composed of thin hexagonal rods were precipitated instead of decahydrated oxalate Nd2(C2O4)3(H2O)6·4H2O with rod-like particles usually obtained in the absence of additive. Despite some differences in the complexation with NTMP and complexity from redox, the use of NTMP was successfully transposed to the plutonium system. Spherical agglomerates of plutonium(III) oxalate were so obtained, leading to spherical agglomerates of PuO2 after thermal treatment.

Phase stability study of the pseudobinary system Gd2O 3-Nd2O3 (T1350°C)

Costa,Artini,Ubaldini,Carnasciali,Mele,Masini

, p. 101 - 104 (2009/01/31)

The phase stability of the system Gd2O3-Nd 2O3 up to 1350°C was studied. Mixed oxides were synthesized by coprecipitation of mixed oxalates. Depending on the thermal treatment, three possible structures of the oxides, namely the A (hexagonal, P63/mmm), B (monoclinic, C2/m) and C (cubic, Ia3) forms, were obtained. Below 1300°C the system Gd2O3-Nd 2O3 shows three monophasic (A, B and C phase) and three biphasic regions (A+B, B+C and A+C phase). Below 550°C the C phase is stable over the whole composition range. A validation procedure for the existence of the C phase in pure Nd2O3 was also set up.

Synthesis and thermal decomposition of mixed Gd-Nd oxalates

Ubaldini,Artini,Costa,Carnasciali,Masini

, p. 797 - 803 (2009/01/31)

Several (Gd1-xNdx)2[C2O 4]3?nH2O samples (0≤x≤1) were prepared by a coprecipitation method: the precipitation is quantitative and all the samples are homogeneous in stoichiometry. XRD analyses have shown that a complete solid solution is formed over the whole range of compositions. The dried Gd rich oxalates have initially a low water content which gradually increases with the Nd content. All the oxalates decompose in O2 around 700°C either into a single mixed oxide or in a mixture of oxides through several steps, which can be ascribed to the loss of water and CO 2.

Magnetic susceptibilities of lanthanide(III)-CMPO complexes and lanthanide(III) oxalate complexes

Nakamura,Yoshimura,Nakatani,Miyake

, p. 303 - 305 (2008/10/08)

Lanthanide(III)-CMPO complexes with nitrate ion as counter-ion and lanthanide(III)-oxalate complexes were synthesized. The former complexes were identified as Ln(NO3)3·3CMPO for La(III), Ce(III), Pr(III) and Nd(III), whereas Ln(NOsu

THERMAL ANALYSIS OF THE OXALATE HEXAHYDRATES AND DECAHYDRATES OF YTTRIUM AND THE LANTHANIDE ELEMENTS.

Fuller,Pinkstone

, p. 127 - 142 (2008/10/08)

Simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis data are presented for yttrium and the tervalent lathanide oxalate decahydrates (Y, La - Er excluding Pm) and hexahydrates (Y, Er - Lu). The dehydration and the oxalate and intermediate dioxy
