The possibility of nucleophilic aromatic substitution of bromine atom in 4-bromo-5-nitrophthalodinitrile with phenoxy, naphthoxy, and phenylazophenoxy groups was examined by semiempirical (AM1) quantum-chemical calculations and proved in the experiment.
