Some new 3-aryl-4-substituted-2-thio-Δ4-thiazolines (I) and their acetoxymercuri derivatives (II) have been synthesised.Both the types of compounds exhibit fungicidal activity against Pyricularia oryzae (Cav.) and bactericidal activity against Staphy. aureus and Esch. coli.
