(2-Chlorophenyl)arsonic acid is an organic arsenic compound that is structurally similar to the arsenic-based herbicide, cacodylic acid. It is known for its toxic properties and is commonly used as a feed additive in the livestock industry to promote growth and improve feed efficiency.
Used in Livestock Industry:
(2-Chlorophenyl)arsonic acid is used as a feed additive to promote growth and improve feed efficiency in livestock. However, due to its potential health risks, its use has been banned in several countries, and alternative additives are being sought to replace it in animal feed.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 33781-24-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,3,7,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 33781-24:
(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*2)+(1*4)=117
117 % 10 = 7
So 33781-24-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF ARYLARSONIC ACIDS

Yambushev, F. D.,Kovyrzina, V>,P.,Shagidullin, R. R.,Gorchakova, L. A.,Fedotov, B. G.,et al.

, p. 1919 - 1926 (2007/10/02)

1.A number of arylarsonic acids with various substituents in the ortho, meta, and para positions in the benzene ring were synthesized from diazonium salts by the Bart reaction; the products were characterized by their IR spectra. 2.By the DTA method it was established that arylarsonic acid molecules were linked together through hydrogen bonds to form oligomeric associated forms. 3.The IR spectra of arylarsonic acids confirm the presence in them of strong hydrogen bonds through which they are able to undergo association into two forms differing in the symmetry of the d isposition of the As=O bonds.A form which gives a C band arises if the arsonyl oxygen participates in the formation of two hydrogen bonds simultaneously, as a result of which the molecules are linked together to form endless chains and columns. In the other form there are probably cyclic dimers with intermolecular H bonds.
