367927-39-7 Usage
Description
SMPH Crosslinker is a non-cleavable, water soluble crosslinker containing a maleimide and NHS ester group. The maleimide is able to react with thiol groups between pH 6.5 to 7.5 to form thiolester bonds. NHS ester groups are reactive toward primary amines.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 367927-39-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,6,7,9,2 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 367927-39:
(8*3)+(7*6)+(6*7)+(5*9)+(4*2)+(3*7)+(2*3)+(1*9)=197
197 % 10 = 7
So 367927-39-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

PROCESSES FOR THE SYNTHESIS AND PURIFICATION OF HETEROBIFUNCTIONAL CROSS-LINKERS
-
Page/Page column 14-15, (2011/04/14)
The present invention relates to a novel process for the production of a compound of formula (1), wherein n = 1 to 10 and m = 1 to 10, in linear two-step synthesis, wherein an N-maleimido acid NHS ester of formula (6), wherein n = 1 to 10, occurs as an intermediate. The invention further provides processes for the purification of the product and of the intermediate. In particular, the invention provides a process for the production and purification of succinimidyl-6-[β-maleimidopropionamido]hexanoate (SMPH). SMPH is a compound of formula (1), wherein m = 5 and n = 2.
