Uses
Used in Agricultural Industry:
Phosphine, [3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]bis(1-methylethyl)is used as a fumigant and pesticide for controlling pests in stored grain. It is effective in protecting crops from damage caused by insects and other pests, ensuring a higher yield and better quality of produce.
Used in Building Fumigation:
This chemical compound is also used in the fumigation of buildings and other enclosed spaces to eliminate pests such as rodents, insects, and other vermin. It is particularly useful in situations where traditional pest control methods are not effective or where a more comprehensive approach is required.
It is crucial to handle Phosphine, [3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]bis(1-methylethyl)with caution due to its toxicity. Proper safety protocols must be followed, including ensuring proper ventilation and avoiding direct contact with the skin or eyes. This ensures the safety of both the individuals handling the chemical and the environment in which it is being used.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 387878-90-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,8,7,8,7 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 387878-90:
(8*3)+(7*8)+(6*7)+(5*8)+(4*7)+(3*8)+(2*9)+(1*0)=232
232 % 10 = 2
So 387878-90-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The title compound (1) was prepared by the reaction of 3,5-bis(CF 3)C6H3P(i-C3H7) 2 (L1) and Co2(CO)8. Its solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide was measured at varying temperatures and pressures using a modified analytical extraction device. Solubility data were determined in the temperature and pressure ranges between 40 and 70°C and between 100 and 300 bar, respectively. The solubility of 1 is lower compared to (p-CF 3C6H4)3P, but much higher than for transition metal complexes bearing phosphines without fluorinated substituents.
