Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 402960-19-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 4,0,2,9,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 402960-19:
(8*4)+(7*0)+(6*2)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*1)+(1*9)=124
124 % 10 = 4
So 402960-19-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
