Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 503311-31-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 5,0,3,3,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 503311-31:
(8*5)+(7*0)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*3)+(1*1)=87
87 % 10 = 7
So 503311-31-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Formation and Reversible Morphological Transition of Bicontinuous Nanospheres and Toroidal Micelles by the Self-Assembly of a Crystalline-b-Coil Diblock Copolymer

Presa-Soto, David,Carriedo, Gabino A.,de la Campa, Raquel,Presa Soto, Alejandro

, p. 10102 - 10107 (2016)

We herein report the formation of two complex nanostructures, toroidal micelles and bicontinuous nanospheres, by the self-assembly of the single structurally simple crystalline-b-coil diblock copolymer poly[bis(trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene]-b-poly(styrene)

Cylindrical micelles by the self-assembly of crystalline-b-coil polyphosphazene-b-P2VP block copolymers. Stabilization of gold nanoparticles

, (2019)

During the last number of years a variety of crystallization-driven self-assembly (CDSA) processes based on semicrystalline block copolymers have been developed to prepare a number of different nanomorphologies in solution (micelles). We herein present a convenient synthetic methodology combining: (i) The anionic polymerization of 2-vinylpyridine initiated by organolithium functionalized phosphane initiators; (ii) the cationic polymerization of iminophosphoranes initiated by -PR2Cl2; and (iii) a macromolecular nucleophilic substitution step, to prepare the novel block copolymers poly(bistrifluoroethoxy phosphazene)-b-poly(2-vinylpyridine) (PTFEP-b-P2VP), having semicrystalline PTFEP core forming blocks. The self-assembly of these materials in mixtures of THF (tetrahydrofuran) and 2-propanol (selective solvent to P2VP), lead to a variety of cylindrical micelles of different lengths depending on the amount of 2-propanol added. We demonstrated that the crystallization of the PTFEP at the core of the micelles is the main factor controlling the self-assembly processes. The presence of pyridinyl moieties at the corona of the micelles was exploited to stabilize gold nanoparticles (AuNPs).

Effect of silylated triarylphosphine ligands on rhodium-catalyzed hydrosilylation

Li, Jiayun,Xue, Mei,Bai, Ying,Peng, Jiajian,Xiao, Wenjun

, p. 905 - 910 (2016/10/18)

A series of silylated triarylphosphines was synthesized. Hydrosilylation reactions of styrene with triethoxysilane catalyzed by RhCl3/silylated triarylphosphine complexes were investigated. The complexes RhCl3/phenylbis(4-trimethylsilylphenyl)phosphine and RhCl3/tris(4-trimethylsilylphenyl)phosphine exhibited higher activity as well as greater β-adduct selectivity, and no unsaturated product was obtained. The results suggest that the silyl moieties have a significant impact on the catalytic process. Copyright

Rhodium-Catalyzed Methylenation of Aldehydes

Lebel, Helene,Paquet, Valerie

, p. 320 - 328 (2007/10/03)

The rhodium-catalyzed methylenation of aldehydes using trimethylsilyldiazomethane and triphenylphosphine produces a variety of terminal alkenes in excellent yields. These mild and nonbasic reaction conditions allow the conversion of enolizable substrates (keto aldehydes and nonracemic α-substituted aldehydes) to terminal alkenes without epimerization. Optimization of the reaction conditions led to the conclusion that a variety of rhodium(I) sources can be used as catalysts. The effect of the solvent on the reaction has also been studied, and it indicates that although the THF is the best solvent, other solvents may be used. The reactivity of the system is very much dependent on the nature of the phosphine reagent. The use of an easily removable phosphine is also described. Spectroscopic studies indicate that the reaction proceeds via an unusual mechanism which leads to the in situ formation of the salt-free phosphorus ylide, methylenetriphenylphosphorane.

Hydroformylation of alkenes in supercritical carbon dioxide catalysed by rhodium trialkylphosphine complexes

Sellin, Murielle F.,Bach, Ingrid,Webster, Jeremy M.,Montilla, Francisco,Rosa, Vitor,Aviles, Teresa,Poliakoff, Martyn,Cole-Hamilton, David J.

, p. 4569 - 4576 (2007/10/03)

Rhodium complexes modified by simple trialkylphosphines can be used to carry out homogeneous hydroformylation in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2). The catalyst derived from PEt3 is more active and slightly more selective for the linear products in scCO2 than in toluene, and under the same reaction conditions [100°C, 40 bar of CO/H2 (1:1)] P(OPri)3 is also an effective ligand giving good catalyst solubility and activity. Other ligands such as PPh3, POct3, PCy3, and P(4-C6H4But)3 are less effective because of the low solubility of their rhodium complexes in scCO2. P(4-C6H4SiM3),Ph3-n, (n = 3 or 1) and P(OPh)3 impart activity despite their complexes only being poorly soluble in scCO2. Under subcritical conditions, using PEt3 as the ligand, C7-alcohols from hydrogenation of the first formed aldehydes are the main products whilst above a total pressure of 200 bar, where the solution remains supercritical (monophasic) throughout the reaction, aldehydes are obtained with 97% selectivity. High pressure IR studies in scCO2 using PEt3 as the ligand are reported.
