Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Mabuterol hydrochloride is used as a bronchodilator/antiasthmatic for the treatment of chronic bronchial asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema. It works by stimulating β2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs, leading to the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscles and increased airflow, thus providing relief from respiratory distress and asthmatic symptoms.
