Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 58109-34-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,8,1,0 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 58109-34:
(7*5)+(6*8)+(5*1)+(4*0)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*4)=125
125 % 10 = 5
So 58109-34-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Fluoro-dideutero-methyl 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropyl ether (D2-sevoflurane) reactions on soda lime: deuterium content of deuterated sevoflurane and its volatile degradation products
Ruzicka, Jan A.,Baker, Max T.
, p. 55 - 58 (2007/10/02)
The degradation of the experimental anesthetic, fluoro-dideutero-methyl 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropyl ether (D2-sevoflurane) on soda lime (Sodasorb) has been compared with sevoflurane and examined in regard to product deuterium content.Similar products and rates of degradation were found between sevoflurane and D2-sevoflurane, and all D2-sevoflurane products contained the fluorodideuteromethoxy group.Four products contained a trideuteromethoxy moiety, indicating the addition of methanol derived from the fluoromethoxy carbon of D2-sevoflurane. - Keywords: Sevoflurane; D2-Sevoflurane; Deuteration; Soda lime; Degradation products
