SYNTHESIS OF ORGANOOXYPHOSPHAZENES THROUGH ORGANOOXYSILANES.

Oligomeric linear organooxyphosphazenes with mixed substituents were obtained by interaction of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene with mixtures of organooxytrimethylsilanes. Study of the influence of the composition of the catalyst on the reaction between hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene and octafluoropentoxytrimethylsilane showed that linear oligomers are formed in presence of phosphoric and polyphosphoric acids, while in presence of perchloric acid, aluminum chloride, and ammonium perchlorate cyclic octafluoropentoxyphosphazenes are obtained. It is shown that these phosphazenes are effective flameproofing agents.
