Photoinduced Reactions of PtCl62- with Saturated Hydrocarbons and Other C-H Containing Compounds
Shul'pin, Georgiy B.,Nizova, Galina V.,Shilov, Alexander E.
, p. 671 - 672 (1983)
Light irradiation of a solution of PtCl62- and an n-alkane (hexane or heptane) in MeCO2H or CF3CO2H-H2O yields the corresponding ?-olefin complex of PtII, the formation of which is assumed to proceed via a ?-alkyl complex of PtIV; the reaction with acetone, which has no β-hydrogen atoms affords a stable ?-acetonyl complex of PtIV and ?-aryl complexes are formed on irradiation of PtCl62- with arenes.
PHOTOINDUCED REACTIONS OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS WITH TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES IV. THERMAL AND PHOTOCHEMICAL REACTIONS OF PtCl62- AND PtCl42- WITH OLEFINS AND ALCOHOLS: CONVENIENT SYNTHESIS OF ?-OLEFIN COMPLEXES OF PLATINUM(II)
Shul'Pin, G. B.,Nizova, G. V.,Lederer, P.
, p. 283 - 294 (2007/10/02)
Olefinplatinum(II) ?-complexes can be synthesized by the following methods: (i) heating a solution of an olefin, alcohol or alkyl acetate and PtCl62- in acetic acid; (ii) light irradiation of a solution of PtCl62- and an olefin in acetone, and (iii) light irradiation of a solution of PtCl42- and an olefin in aqueous acetone. The possible mechanisms of the thermal and photoinduced reactions are discussed.
FORMATION OF ORGANOMETALLIC COMPLEXES OF PLATINUM(II) AND PLATINUM(IV) IN REACTIONS OF PtCl62- WITH ALKANES, OLEFINS AND AROMATICS INDUCED BY γ-IRRADIATION
Serdobov, Mikhail V.,Nizova, Galina V.,Shul'Pin, Georgiy B.
, p. C12 - C14 (2007/10/02)
γ-Irradiation of solutions of the ion PtCl52- and n-hexane (or alkene) in MeCO2H affords a ?-olefin complex of platinum(II); ?-aryl complexes of platinum(IV) are formed in analogous reactions with aromatic compounds.
