Uses

Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
4(1H)-Quinazolinone, 2,8-dichlorois used as a key intermediate compound for the synthesis of potent CXCR2 antagonists and dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) inhibitors. These inhibitors play a crucial role in the development of drugs targeting various diseases, including type 2 diabetes, inflammatory disorders, and certain types of cancer.
CXCR2 antagonists, derived from 4(1H)-Quinazolinone, 2,8-dichloro-, are employed for their anti-inflammatory properties, making them potential candidates in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and other inflammatory conditions.
DPP-IV inhibitors, on the other hand, are used to manage type 2 diabetes by regulating glucose levels in the body. They work by slowing down the degradation of incretin hormones, which stimulate insulin secretion and reduce glucose production in the liver.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 62484-39-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,2,4,8 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 62484-39:
(7*6)+(6*2)+(5*4)+(4*8)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*9)=133
133 % 10 = 3
So 62484-39-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Alogliptin is a potent, selective inhibitor of the serine protease dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4). Herein, we describe the structure-based design and optimization of alogliptin and related quinazolinone-based DPP-4 inhibitors. Following an oral dose, these noncovalent inhibitors provide sustained reduction of plasma DPP-4 activity and a lowering of blood glucose in animal models of diabetes. Alogliptin is currently undergoing phase 111 trials in patients with type 2 diabetes.
