Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 62609-80-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,2,6,0 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 62609-80:
(7*6)+(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*9)+(2*8)+(1*0)=127
127 % 10 = 7
So 62609-80-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

CuI/L-proline-catalyzed coupling reactions of vinyl bromides with activated methylene compounds

Pei, Lin,Qian, Weixing

, p. 1719 - 1723 (2006)

The Ullmann-type coupling reaction of vinyl bromides and activated methylene compounds under CuI/L-proline in DMSO, at 90 °C in the presence of Cs2CO3 gives the corresponding vinyl compounds in moderate to good yields. This is a good method for preparing compounds with multiple functional groups including double bonds, carbonyls, and/or esters. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart.

Microwave mediated palladium-catalysed reactions on potassium fluoride/alumina without use of solvent

Villemin, Didier,Caillot, Fredéric

, p. 639 - 642 (2007/10/03)

Potassium fluoride on alumina was used in palladium-catalysed reactions (Suzuki, Heck, Stille, Trost-Tsuji) without solvent under mono-mode microwave irradiation. Some reactions took place in air. The organotin residue in the Stille reaction remained on the solid support.
