Description
Permanent Violet RL, also known as Carbazole Violet or Pigment Violet 23, is a bluish violet pigment that is uncommonly strong, resistant to solvents, and shows fair weatherfastness. It is characterized by its violet powder appearance, bluish shade, and high tinting strength of 100-105%. The pigment also exhibits good heat resistance of at least 300°C, light fastness of 7-8, and moderate resistance to acids and alkalis with a rating of 5. Additionally, it has a fastness to bleeding rating of 5, oil absorption of 40-45%, a specific surface area of 28 m2/g, a density of 1.60 g/cm3, and a residue on 80 mesh of 5.0% max. The pigment is also water-soluble with a maximum of 1.0% and has a volatile content of 1.0% at 105 °C.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6358-30-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,3,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6358-30:
(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*3)+(1*0)=101
101 % 10 = 1
So 6358-30-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

An efficient microwave assisted synthesis of triphenodioxazines using chloranil as oxidizing agent

, p. 318 - 325 (2016/08/20)
An efficient new method for the preparation of triphenodioxazines (TPDOs) using p-chloranil as oxidizing agent in conc. H2SO4 under microwave irradiation at 120°C is reported. This method is more efficient than the previously described microwave method using potassium persulfate as oxidising agent in conc. H2SO4 as it provides the cyclized product within 8-10 minutes with comparatively higher yields.
