Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 64622-31-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,4,6,2 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 64622-31:
(7*6)+(6*4)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*1)=117
117 % 10 = 7
So 64622-31-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Benzyne-Mediated Esterification Reaction

Li, Yang,Shi, Jiarong,Zhao, Jinlong

supporting information, p. 7274 - 7278 (2021/10/01)

A benzyne-mediated esterification of carboxylic acids and alcohols under mild conditions has been realized, which is made possible via a selective nucleophilic addition of carboxylic acid to benzyne in the presence of alcohol. After a subsequent transesterification with alcohol, the corresponding esters can be produced efficiently. This benzyne-mediated protocol can be used on the modification of Ibuprofen, cholesterol, estradiol, and synthesis of nandrolone phenylpropionate. In addition, benzyne can also be used to promote lactonization and amidation reaction.

Benzyl ester prodrug of ibuprofen: Pharmacological and toxicological profile

Bansal,Khar,Dubey,Sharma

, p. 79 - 82 (2007/10/03)

Prodrug approach is a promising way of overcoming gastrotoxicity associated with long term oral use of NSAIDs like ibuprofen. The candidature of benzyl ester prodrug of ibuprofen was examined to assess its ability to reduce gastrotoxicity without affectin

A new mild method for the synthesis of esters and benzenethiol esters by activation of pyridine-2-thiol or benzothiazol-2-thiol esters by methyl iodide

Ravi,Mereyala

, p. 6089 - 6090 (2007/10/02)

Activation of in-situ generated pyridine-2-thiol or benzothiazol-2-thiol esters by methyl iodide at room temperature in presence of alcohols and benzenethiol yields the corresponding esters and thiol esters.

Pyridylalkyl esters of 2-(p-isobutylphenyl)acetic acid and propionic acids and use

-

, (2008/06/13)

The present invention relates to phenylacetic acid ester derivatives of the following general formula: STR1 wherein, R is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl (other than ethyl) and substituted lower alkyl, and R' may be a hydrogen or methyl.
