Benzimidazole based ratiometric and colourimetric chemosensor for Ni(II)
Sarkar, Deblina,Pramanik, Ajoy Kumar,Mondal, Tapan Kumar
, p. 397 - 401 (2016)
A highly sensitive and selective benzimidazole based colourimetric chemosensor (HL) for the efficient detection of Ni2 + has been reported. The synthesized chemosensor HL is highly efficient in detecting Ni2+ over other metal ions th
Synthesis, crystal structure and spectral properties of 2-[(1-Methyl-2-benzimidazolyl)azo]-p-cresol: An experimental and theoretical study
Sarkar, Deblina,Pramanik, Ajoy Kumar,Mondal, Tapan Kumar
, p. 421 - 425 (2013)
2-[(1-Methyl-2-benzimidazolyl)azo]-p-cresol (HL), containing phenolic-OH function and benzimidazole moiety has been synthesized and characterized. The chemical, electronic structure and photophysical properties have been studied by spectroscopic analysis

The chelates of 2-hydroxy(aminophenylnaphthyl)-azo-1-alkylbenzimidazoles were obtained from electrochemical (anodic dissolution of zero-valent d-metals) and chemical (from acetates of the same metals) syntheses in methanol. The EXAFS and X-ray single crys
DIAZO COMPOUNDS OF THE HETEROCYCLIC SERIES. 4. SOME PECULIARITIES OF THE DIAZO COUPLING OF BENZIMIDAZOLE-2-DIAZONIUM SALTS WITH PHENOLS AND THEIR ETHERS
Kolodyazhnaya, S. N.,Divaeva, L. N.,Sogomonova, R. A.,Simonov, A. M.
, p. 538 - 543 (2007/10/02)
The corresponding hydroxy (methoxy)-substituted azobenzimidazoles were obtained by diazo coupling of benzimidazole-2-diazonium salts with phenols and their complete and incomplete ethers in strongly acidic media; in the case of phenol ethers the process is complicated by dealkylation of the methoxy group in the ortho position relative to the diazo bridge.
