Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
JW55 is used as a tankyrase inhibitor for stabilizing Axin2 and increasing the degradation of β-catenin, which in turn inhibits the β-catenin signaling pathway. This makes JW55 a potential candidate for the development of therapeutic agents targeting the Wnt signaling pathway in various diseases.
Used in Cancer Research:
JW55 is used as a research tool for studying the role of tankyrases (TNKS1/2) in the regulation of the Wnt signaling pathway. Its ability to decrease canonical Wnt signaling in SW480 and HCT-15 colon carcinoma cell lines makes it a valuable compound for investigating the mechanisms of Wnt signaling in cancer development and progression.
Used in Cell Biology:
JW55 is used as a cell cycle inhibitor for reducing cell cycle progression and proliferation in SW480 cells in vitro. This application aids researchers in understanding the effects of tankyrase inhibition on cell cycle regulation and the potential implications for cancer treatment.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 664993-53-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 6,6,4,9,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 664993-53:
(8*6)+(7*6)+(6*4)+(5*9)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*5)+(1*3)=217
217 % 10 = 7
So 664993-53-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Wnt pathway inhibitors A class of compounds having general formula (I) has been identified. These compounds function as inhibitors of the Wnt pathway. Compounds of formula (I) are suitable for the treatment and/or prevention of any condition or disease in which it is desirable to inhibit signaling in the Wnt pathway, in particular inhibiting the proliferation of tumor cells, especially those associated with breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic and colorectal cancers (e.g. colon carcinoma cells). The compounds also find use in methods of preventing metastasis and methods of promoting and/or directing cellular differentiation of progenitor cells.
