67625-05-2 Usage
General Description
2',6'-Dichloro-2-(diethylamino)-4'-methoxyacetanilide, also known as diclofenac, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions such as arthritis, migraine, and menstrual cramps. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Diclofenac is commonly available in oral, topical, and injectable forms, and it is often prescribed for short-term use due to its potential side effects, including stomach ulcers, bleeding, and an increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Despite these risks, diclofenac is a widely used medication and is considered effective for managing certain types of pain and inflammation.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 67625-05-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,7,6,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 67625-05:
(7*6)+(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*0)+(1*5)=142
142 % 10 = 2
So 67625-05-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Structure-activity relationships in a series of 2,6-dichloro analogs of lidocaine
Ehrhardt,Rouot,Schwartz
, p. 235 - 240 (2007/10/06)
The antiarrhythmic activity of 18 2,6-dichloro analogues of lidocaine was correlated with their pKa and the steric hindrance of the substituent in position 4. The local anaesthesic activity of 11 of them was correlated with their solubility and the electronic and lipophilic constants of the substituents in position 2, 4 and 6.
