Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 678983-34-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 6,7,8,9,8 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 678983-34:
(8*6)+(7*7)+(6*8)+(5*9)+(4*8)+(3*3)+(2*3)+(1*4)=241
241 % 10 = 1
So 678983-34-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

(Oxo)(Fluoro)-Aluminates in KF-Al2O3 System: Thermal Stability and Structural Correlation

?imko, Franti?ek,Rakhmatullin, Aydar,Florian, Pierre,Kontrík, Martin,Korenko, Michal,Netriová, Zuzana,Danielik, Vladimír,Bessada, Catherine

, p. 13349 - 13359 (2017/11/15)

Precise investigation of part of the phase diagram of KF-Al2O3 system was performed in an experiment combining different techniques. Solidified mixtures of KF-Al2O3 were studied by X-ray powder diffraction and high-field solid-state NMR spectroscopy over a wide range of compositions. To help with the interpretation of the NMR spectra of the solidified samples found as complex admixtures, we synthesized the following pure compounds: KAlO2, K2Al22O34, α-K3AlF6, KAlF4, and K2Al2O3F2. These compounds were then characterized using various solid-state NMR techniques, including MQ-MAS and D-HMQC. NMR parameters of the pure compounds were finally determined using first-principles density functional theory calculations. The phase diagram of KF-Al2O3 with the alumina content up to 30 mol % was determined by means of thermal analysis. Thermal analysis was also used for the description of the thermal stability of one synthesized compound, K2Al2O3F2.

Investigation of the systems KAlF4-KBe2F5 and K3AlF6-KBe2F5

Chen,Cao,Zhang

, p. 161 - 164 (2008/10/08)

Phase relations in the systems KA1F4-KBe2F5 and K3A1F6-KBe2F5 have been investigated by DTA and XRD methods. The KA1F4-KBe2F5 is a simple eutectic system with the eutectic point at a composition of 80.0 mol% KBe2F5 at 335 °C. For the later system, two incongruent compounds 2K3A1F6·KBe2F5 and K3A1F6·KBe2F5 melting at 448 and 378 °C, respectively were confirmed. They have been XRD indexed as both orthorhombic cells with cell parameters a = 10.70±0.01, b = 10.36±0.01, c = 5.85±0.02 A? for the former and a = 10.499±0.003, b = 9.685±0.005, c = 7.554±0.005 A? for the later. One eutectic point located at 85.0 mol% KBe2F5 at 336 °C was also observed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.

A calorimetric investigation of polymorphism in a layered perovskite: KAlF4

White, M. A.,Wagner, B. D.

, p. 519 - 526 (2007/10/02)

The heat capacity from 15 to 365 K of the layered perovskite KAlF4 is reported. On warming, a large thermal anomaly is observed at about 340 K, and the thermal history of the sample was found to have a major effect on the temperature, enthalpy, and complexity of the phase transition.D.s.c. results indicate that the phase transition on warming at 340 K is the high-temperature counterpart of the transition that had been previously reported at 250 K on cooling, and that the 250 K transformation is the stable transition. No further phase transitions are found in KAlF4 in the temperature region from 15 to 365 K.
