Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6966-37-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,9,6 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6966-37:
(6*6)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*7)=136
136 % 10 = 6
So 6966-37-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation of Novel 1,2,4-Trioxanes as Potential Antimalarial Agents

Gupta, Amit K.,Varshney, Kanika,Kumar, Vivek,Srivastava, Kumkum,Pant, Aditya B.,Puri, Sunil K.,Saxena, Anil K.

, (2017/04/11)

A series of substituted 1,2,4-trioxanes were synthesized and evaluated for their antimalarial potential, in silico ADME properties and cytotoxicity on neuronal cell lines. Among the 15 synthesized substituted 1,2,4-trioxanes, two compounds (compound 15, IC50 = 25.71 nM; compound 21, IC50 = 19.6 nM) exhibited promising in vitro antimalarial potential comparable to those of the existing drugs chloroquine and artemisinin. Both of these compounds were found to be nontoxic up to 20 μM concentration in neuronal PC-12 cells. Compound 21 may serve as an optimized lead compound because of its less in vitro toxicity and lower probability to cross the blood brain barrier.

Synthesis of DL-hydroxybenzenamides as anticonvulsants

, p. 105 - 110 (2008/09/19)

The anticonvulsant activity of some DL-hydroxybenzenamides is described. The following compounds from this series were prepared and tested: DL-2-hydroxy-2-(3′-bromophenyl)butyramide (4, CAS 620950-12-1), DL-2-hydroxy-2-(4′-bromophenyl)butyramide (5, CAS 6
