Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 73142-32-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,3,1,4 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 73142-32:
(7*7)+(6*3)+(5*1)+(4*4)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*2)=102
102 % 10 = 2
So 73142-32-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The radical telomerization of ethylene with 1,1-dialkoxyalkanes, initiated by tert-butyl peroxide (140-150 deg C), was investigated. The main products are unsymmetrical linear acetals, esters and saturated hydrocarbons. The structure of the intermediate free radicals was studied by ESR spectroscopy. The values obtained for the partial chain transfer constants (Cn=0.2) characterize the 1,1-dialkoxyalkanes as telogens of medium activity. The telomerization of ethylene with 1,1-dimethoxyethane is accompanied by rearrangements with 1,5 and 1,9 migration of a hydrogen atom.
