Synthesis of saccharose esters
Artamonov,Aldabergenova,Nigmatullina,Dzhiembaev
, p. 345 - 348 (2000)
Di- and triesters of saccharose with aromatic acids are synthesized by transesterification of the methyl esters of the corresponding acids with saccharose. The structures of the resulting compounds are confirmed by IR spectroscopy, PMR, and 13C
PARTIAL BENZOYLATION OF SUCROSE
Clode, David M.,McHale, David,Sheridan, John B.,Birch, Gordon G.,Rathbone, Elner B.
, p. 141 - 146 (2007/10/02)
Tribenzoylation of sucrose followed by column chromatography gave a bitter fraction containing four tribenzoates, namely 6,1',3'-, 2,6,1'-, 2,6,6'-, and 6,3',6'-tri-O-benzoylsucrose.A slower moving and less bitter fraction cocsisted of the expected major product, 6,1',6'-tri-O-benzoylsucrose.
