Brianil, also known as Bromhexine, is a pharmaceutical drug primarily used to treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other conditions involving excessive mucus production. It functions as a mucolytic agent, breaking down the viscosity of mucus in the respiratory tract, making it easier to cough up and clear from the airways. Additionally, Brianil exhibits some anti-inflammatory and cough-suppressing properties, further aiding in the management of respiratory issues. It is typically administered orally in the form of tablets or syrups and is considered a safe and effective treatment option when used as directed.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 8053-63-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 8,0,5 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 8053-63:
(6*8)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*3)+(2*6)+(1*3)=92
92 % 10 = 2
So 8053-63-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Catalytic One-Pot Oxetane to Carbamate Conversions: Formal Synthesis of Drug Relevant Molecules

Guo, Wusheng,Laserna, Victor,Rintjema, Jeroen,Kleij, Arjan W.

, p. 1602 - 1607 (2016/10/13)

Oxetanes are versatile building blocks in drug-related synthesis to induce property-modulating effects. Whereas related oxiranes are widely used in coupling chemistry with carbon dioxide (CO2) to afford value-added commodity chemicals, oxetane/CO2couplings remain extremely limited despite the recent advances in the synthesis of these four-membered heterocycles. Here we report an effective one-pot three-component reaction (3CR) strategy for the coupling of (substituted) oxetanes, amines and CO2to afford a variety of functionalized carbamates with excellent chemoselectivity and good yields. The process is mediated by an aluminium-based catalyst under relatively mild conditions and the developed catalytic methodology can be applied to the formal synthesis of two pharmaceutically relevant carbamates with the 3CR being a key step. (Figure presented.).
