Solvent-free one-pot synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols catalyzed by silica sulfuric acid
Srihari, Galla,Nagaraju, Manda,Murthy, Madugula Marthanda
, p. 1497 - 1504 (2007)
An efficient, inexpensive, and mild method for the synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols, catalyzed by 'silica sulfuric acid' (SSA), was elaborated under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. Various amidoalkyl naphthols were synthesized in high yields from aromatic or aliphatic aldehydes, α- or β-naphthols, and amides or urea or thiourea.
Mannich Bases, XVII: Amino- and Amidoalkylation of 2-Methylnaphthol and 1-Naphthol
Moehrle, Hans,Troester, Kristina
, p. 222 - 227 (1982)
Under the usual conditions of aminoalkylation 2-methylnaphthol yields the Mannich bases or the methylene biscompound 4 depending on the basicity of the amine. With iminium salts, however, the hydrochlorides of the aminoalkyl derivatives are obtained. The amidoalkylation of 1-naphthol yields mono- or disubstituted products depending on the starting components.
Hafnium (IV) bis(perfluorooctanesulfonyl)imide complex catalyzed direct amidomethylation for the synthesis of 1-(arylamido)-methyl-2-naphthols in fluorous medium
Hong, Mei,Cai, Chun,Yi, Wen Bin
experimental part, p. 322 - 325 (2011/12/21)
Hafnium (IV) bis(perfluorooctanesulfonyl)imide complex is found to be an efficient catalyst for the multicomponent condensation of β-naphthol, aromatic aldehydes and urea or amides in perfluorodecalin to afford the corresponding substituted amidomethyl na
