The chemical compound "W(CO)4(P(C6H5)2CH(COC6H5)P(C6H5)2)" is a complex organometallic compound consisting of a tungsten (W) center. It features four carbonyl (CO) ligands, which are linear molecules that bind to the metal center through a triple bond. Additionally, it has a unique bidentate ligand, P(C6H5)2CH(COC6H5)P(C6H5)2, where two triphenylphosphine (P(C6H5)3) groups are connected through a central carbon atom that also bears a phenyl group (C6H5) and a carbonyl group (CO). This structure creates a chelating effect, enhancing the stability of the compound. The compound is significant in the field of organometallic chemistry, particularly for its potential applications in catalysis and as a model for understanding the behavior of metal complexes with phosphorus-containing ligands.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 82328-15-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,2,3,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 82328-15:
(7*8)+(6*2)+(5*3)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*5)=122
122 % 10 = 2
So 82328-15-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS OF (M = Cr, Mo, or W; R = COPh or COC6H4Me-p) AND PHOTOCHEMICALLY INDUCED REACTIONS OF THE COMPLEX : CRYSTAL STRUCTURES OF THE COMPLEXES and

Compounds of type (M = Cr, Mo, or W) are deprotonated by LiBun and the resultant carbanions are acylated by RCOCl (R = Ph or C6H4Me-p) to give the complexes .These acylated complexes react with NaOMe, reversibly, to give enolate anions or with RCOCl/pyridine to give the complex .Irradiation of gives, initially, the six-membered-ring chelate complex (3a), which is in turn converted into (4a) in the presence of light and traces of water.Crystals of both (3a) and (4a) are monoclinic, space group P21/c, with Z = 4.Those of (3a) have a = 17.013(3), b = 10.454(2), c = 19.723(3) Angstroem, and β = 114.23(1) deg. Those of (4a) have a = 18.629(3), b = 9.931(1), c = 18.182(4) Angstroem, and β = 94.58(1) deg.Final R factors were 0.030 for 3634 and 0.068 for 4027 observed reflections, respectively.

Complexes of the type are readily deprotonated by strong bases and the resultant carbanions attacked by nucleophiles such as MeI, EtI, CH2:CHCH2Cl, PhCH2Cl, Me3SiCl, Ph2PCl, PhCOCl, or MeC6H4COCl, to effect C-substitution.
